We design trip and event proposals with no fee attached. However, Classic Portugal can request a good faith trip planning fee is paid, between 300-500€ is paid, for further changes to be made.
All trip itineraries and event schedules must be approved and signed off by the traveller. At the travellers request, Classic Portugal can make changes to the tour or event schedule and up to 60 days before the tour. After this, no changes will be possible.
Trip & Event Cost Breakdowns
We do not provide breakdowns of the trip or event cost. The trip or event is sold as a full package, to protect the negotiated rates and relationships with our partners.
For bespoke trips, Classic Portugal must book and pay for all hotels. Should the traveller pay for their own hotel, we sadly will no longer be able to work with them.
A 25% deposit is required when booking your trip and a 50% deposit is required when booking your event. As soon as the deposit is paid the traveller automatically agrees to the Terms and Conditions. Final balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. For any bookings made within 60 days of the trip commencing, the full amount will be charged.
We accept all credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express) and wire transfers.
A 25% deposit is payable on confirmation of your trip and a 50% deposit is payable on confirmation of your event. These are non-refundable. Cancellations within 60 days of the trip or event commencing are non-refundable.
Requesting to Postpone and Reschedule
Requesting to postpone your trip or event and reschedule is subject to 50% of the trip cost and 75% of the event cost, prior to 60 days. Postponing and rescheduling your trip or event within 60 days is not possible and considered as Cancellation.
Any itinerary elements outside of the itinerary will be payable by the traveller. This includes, but is not restricted to, room upgrades, room service, any entry tickets or experiences. Any unused elements by the traveller are not eligible for a refund.
If the trip or trip elements are cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, the traveller will be offered an alternative option when and where possible. For any event outside the control of Classic Portugal which affects the vacation arrangements, Classic Portugal cannot accept liability for any resulting loss, damage or expense and has the right to retain funds paid.
Passports & Visas
Clients are responsible for checking all entry requirements for Portugal, including visa and health requirements. Classic Portugal accepts no liability for the refusal to grant visas or entry into Portugal. In such cases we apply the conditions of Cancellation.
Classic Portugal is a fully insured tourism agency, registered with Turismo de Portugal. We strongly recommend you also take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy.
If there is good reason, Classic Portugal can change the order of the itinerary and itinerary timings and replace experiences and hotels to those of a similar nature, if necessary.
The facilities and services provided to clients by the hotel are subject to change without notice. Charges to the room, including city tax and room service, are the responsibility of the client and a credit card must be left at the hotel reception.
