Day 1, Arrive Funchal, Madeira: Wander the Old Town, Waterside Dinner

At the beginning of this exciting luxury break, your chauffeur will be waiting for you at the airport. You will head straight to a luxurious 5 star hotel, with ocean front view for. After check in, enjoy some time wandering the Old Town. Admire the street art, the Old Cathedral and explore the wonderfully colourful Farmers Market. For the evening, we can make reservations at a delightful waterfront restaurant for you. Sit back and enjoy your first night on glorious Madeira and watch the sunset over the ocean.

Day 2, East Side: Pico do Arieiro, Santana, Porto da Cruz, Rum Distillery & Pico do Facho

Today you will embark on an exciting Jeep tour of the east side of the island. First location is the breathtaking and majestic, Pico do Arieiro. Situated at 1.818 metres of altitude, you can almost touch the clouds. Be amazed at the landscapes and views before you. Then it is on to Santana, known as the “Biosphere Reserve” and famous for its pretty, triangular houses. For lunch, you will stop at a traditional Madeira restaurant. Porto da Cruz is a pretty, coastal village. Its name came from the cross once placed in the bay that served as a port. Here you will enjoy a guided visit and tasting at a traditional Rum Distillery, where the rum producer will present the whole process to you. Finally, pause at the Pico do Facho viewpoint. This wide view covers the Machico Valley, the peaks of the central part of the island, the Desertas Islands and Ponta de São Lourenço. Historically, this was the place where huge bonfires were lit, in order to alert the population of approaching enemy ships. A wonderful end to such an enchanting day.

Day 3, Cable Car, Parish of Monte & Subtropical Fruit Farm

To begin this wonderful day, a certified tour guide will be waiting for you at the hotel. Today you will enjoy a varied itinerary, beginning with one of the most popular cable car rides up to the parish of Monte. Departing from the sea front, enjoy the views as you head up to the Monte Palace Tropical Garden. Explore the parish, including Our Lady of Mount church and the amphitheater. For lunch, you tour guide will take you to an authentic, Madeiran restaurant. After lunch, spend the afternoon at a Madeira Subtropical Fruit Farm. Enjoy another short cable car ride to access the farm on the cliffside. You will enjoy a guided tour, learning about aspects of local history and life, organic farming, viticulture, animal farming, and the evolution of access infrastructures, such as the old pedestrian paths, the pier or the cable car. Taste the locally produced, organic subtropical fruit, varying throughout the year: passion fruit, banana, papaya, mango, surinam cherry, avocado, and occasional curiosities such as “tabaibo,” “araçá,” fig, or melon-passion fruit. At the end of your day, your chauffeur will be waiting for you to take you back to the hotel.

Day 4, West Side: Rabaçal Hike, Véu da Noiva & Poça das Lesmas

To begin this exciting day, your chauffeur will be waiting for you at the hotel. Today you will head to the west of the island, to discover the nature and beauty of Madeira. Join a small group guided hike of the Rabaçal 25 Fontes and head into an enchanted fairyland of marvellous views and singing waterfalls! Enjoy the most beautiful with stunning landscapes and sceneries and a typical, Portuguese picnic against this beautiful backdrop. For the afternoon, head up to Véu da Noiva viewpoint: an incredible scenic lookout on the north coast, also known as the Bridal Veil Waterfall. Continue on to the stunning Praia do Porto do Seixal and swim in the beautiful natural pools there. Admire the huge archways, created by the volcanic rock. A relaxing way to end an active day in nature.

Day 5, Cabo Girão & Private Yacht Charter

To begin this enchanting day on Madeira, your chauffeur will be waiting for you at your hotel. This morning you will visit Cabo Girão; the highest sea cliff in Europe (589 mts.) With its stunning glass floor balcony this cliff offers a unique sensation! Walk around the structure and marvel at the impressive cliff face below. For the afternoon, take a private charter out onto the water. Your own private sailboat with skipper and crew. You will explore the south coast of Madeira Island, both east and west, and visit private beaches accessible only by sea. In addition to frequent whale and dolphin sightings, you can swim in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, which have mild temperatures year-round. You will have lunch at Fajã dos Padres beach, accessible only by boat. A very special and memorable experience.

Day 6, Winery Tour, leave for the airport

For your final day on this beautiful island, you will enjoy one final experience. This morning, your chauffeur will drive you to a delightful Wine Lodge. Here you will enjoy a guided tour of various areas of the lodge including the huge vats, the ageing wines and wine museum. Finish the tour with tastings of two vintage wines. Enjoy lunch at a nearby traditional restaurant, before you head to the airport.

Payment & Cancellation

Payment - A 25% deposit is required when booking this luxury tour. Final balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. For any bookings made within 60 days of the tour commencing, the full tour amount will be charged. Payment methods - We accept all credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express) and wire transfers. Cancellation - A 25% deposit is payable on confirmation of tour. This is non-refundable. Cancellations within 30 days of the tour commencing are non-refundable.
