Overview
On this one day, luxury tour you will visit a beautiful region, just south of Lisbon. Much has been written about the first winery you will visit, but the conclusion is always the same: it’s a masterpiece, dating back to the 14th century. Alongside a wonderful guided tour,  wine tasting and brunch, you will view unique pieces of a private art collection and pass through the gardens and vineyards to the lakeside house, where the very first dated painted tile in Portugal can be found. Built in the 19th century, the second winery you will visit was restored in 1923. With a charming facade and gardens of a very special beauty, the house-museum has always been associated with the image of this historical winery. Here you will enjoy a private guided tour and tastings, including a visit to the old cellars where the oldest Moscatels of Setúbal rest – some of which are authentic relics over 100 years old. To end the day, visit a local working tile workshop, where you will enjoy a guided tour and even make your own tile. A wonderful, luxury Portugal wine day that you will remember for a lifetime.

Stunning historical Palace & Winery
At the beginning of this luxury day of wine, your chauffeur will be waiting for you at your Lisbon hotel. This Palace and Winery has a unique setting, dating back to the founders of the Avis dynasty including beautiful, Portuguese hand-painted tiles from the XV and XVI centuries. On this private, guided tour you will view unique pieces of the private art collection, passing through the gardens and vineyards to the lakeside house where the very first dated painted tile in Portugal can be found. You will enjoy a light brunch of Azeitao cheese, smoked ham, local bread, mini croquettes, mini patties & `tortas de Azeitao´ - a traditional, sweet eggroll. For the wine tastings, enjoy the Bacalhôa selection of Greco di Tufo White Wine. Quinta da Bacalhôa White Wine, Bacalhôa Syrah Red Wine and Quinta da Bacalhôa Red Wine. Historical House-Museum & Winery
Built in the 19th century, this beautiful, historical winery was restored in 1923 by the Swiss architect Ernesto Korrodi. The tour of the Casa-Museu begins with the company's history, followed by a visit to the old wineries: Adega da Mata and Adega dos Teares Novos, where amongst others the Periquita wine is aged, the Adega dos Teares Velhos and where the oldest Moscatels of Setúbal rest - some of which are authentic relics over 100 years old. For your tastings, enjoy `tasting flavours of the earth´: 2 Premium White Wines, 2 Premium Red Wines and 1 Premium Moscatel de Setúbal wine, alongside a regional foods board of Gazpacho patês, local cheeses and sausages, olive oil pies and various breads and toasts from Azeitão.

Local Tile Workshop
To end the day, visit a local working tile workshop which uses the European traditional methods of tile making, and reproduces antique designs from European countries and also Islamic and Chinese. Learn all about these hand painted tiles on a guided tour and even make your own tile! At the end of this unforgettable tour, your chauffeur will return you to your hotel in Lisbon.
Payment - A 50% deposit is required when booking this luxury tour. Final balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. For any bookings made within 30 days of the tour commencing, the full tour amount will be charged upon booking. Payment methods - We accept all credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express) and wire transfers. Cancellation - A 50% deposit is payable upfront. This is non-refundable. Remaining balance is due 30 days prior to trip commencing. Cancellations within 30 days of the tour commencing are non-refundable.
