Day 1, Arrive in Lisbon: Luxury Hotel, Relax, Dinner
Your professional chauffeur will be waiting for you at Lisbon airport. You will head straight to one of Lisbon's most awarded boutique hotels. For the evening, you have reservations at the opulent Belcanto restaurant. At Belcanto, José Avillez offers an absolutely unique gastronomic and sensorial journey. Here he offers Portuguese cuisine revisited in a sophisticated atmosphere, that takes us from the romanticism of the old Chiado to the future. With two Michelin stars and in the 42nd position in the list “The World's 50 Best Restaurants”, Belcanto is also distinguished by its privileged location in the historic center of Lisbon, by its warm, discreet and attentive service, and by an extraordinary wine cellar that showcases some of the best Portuguese wines, as well as great international references. After dinner, your chauffeur will return you to the hotel.
Day 2, Lisbon: Tour of Belem, Gourmet Lunch, House Museum, Shopping
At the start of this wonderful day, your chauffeur will be waiting for you at your hotel. You will head to the Lisbon district of Belem to explore the monuments, such as Jerónimos Monastery, with a certified tour guide. Taste the marvellous Pasteis da Nata at world famous pastry shop, Pasteis de Belem. For lunch you will enjoy a gourmet lunch of `moments´ with wine pairing, at a top Lisbon Michelin star restaurant. For the afternoon, explore the exquisite Casa-Museu Medeiros e Almeida: a 25-room collection of 17th to 20th century arts, originally amassed by a Portuguese private collector. A true find. End your day with some luxury shopping at Lisbon’s unique, artisanal shops in Chiado and Avenida da Liberdade. Visit the past and take home a piece of history with products including gloves, jewellery, candles, chocolate and more. Dinner reservations can be made on your request and your chauffeur will be available for you in the evening.
Day 3, Lisbon: Tile Museum, Time Out Market, Silversmiths Visit, Private Sunset Yacht Charter
For your final day in Lisbon your private chauffeur will be waiting for you at the hotel. This morning you will be accompanied by a certified tour guide, on a visit to the beautiful Tile Museum: an art museum dedicated to the azulejo, traditional tile-work of Portugal and the former Portuguese Empire. Wander through this 16th century convent and admire the many tiles façades. For lunch, your guide will take you through the Time Out Food Market, where you will taste a selection of typical Portuguese foods, liquors and wines. For the afternoon, you will enjoy a private workshop with a jewellery artisan, where you will learn the art of traditional Portuguese jewellery making plus make some of your own. This will be followed by 2 hour river cruise on a private yacht charter. Admire Lisbon from this perfect view as the sun starts to set. Dinner reservations can be made on your request and your chauffeur will be available for you in the evening.
Day 4, Alenquer Wine Region: Private Tastings & Tours, Wine Lunch, Charming Village of Ericeira
Today you will experience a luxury Portugal wine day. The Alenquer region was inhabited very early on, so here vine growing is ancient, dating back to the times of Roman occupation. It is here you will visit an exquisite famiy-owned winery. In a private wine experience you will have the opportunity to visit the winery, the barrel room and to taste premium wines. It will be followed by a marvellous Wine Lunch, hosted by a member of the Chocapalha family – such a special and intimate experience. The next winery is where you will discover one of the oldest wine estates in the Lisbon region. Explore the nectars in a private tasting experience from a careful selection of premium wines. At the end of both memorable wine experiences you will explore the coastal location of Ericeira: a charming Portuguese village, with traditional whitewashed houses. Dinner reservations can be made on your request and your chauffeur will be available for you in the evening.
Day 5, Sintra: Monserrate Palace, Coastal Lunch with a View, Private Tour at Winery
Your luxury day in Sintra will begin with a private guided tour of Monserrate Palace. A certified tour guide will be waiting for you when you arrive at this outstanding, palatial villa. Inspired by Islamic architecture, Monserrate Palace is resplendent with extravagant decoration. Surrounded by beautifully lush gardens, enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this unique monument, a little off the tourist track. For lunch, we will reserve your table at an Azenhas do Mar restaurant, overlooking the ocean. Azenhas do Mar is a beautiful cliffside village, very popular with photographers, nestled within the Sintra National Park. Taste fresh seafood straight out of the water. For the afternoon you will visit a Sintra wine estate. Hidden in the Lizandro River slopes and in the sandy properties of Colares, lies the terraces and ancient stone walls of a four generation family vineyard. Here you will enjoy a private guided tour and tasting, with either the owner or the winemaker, and a tasting of the DOC Colares wines. Dinner reservations can be made on your request and your chauffeur will be available for you in the evening.
Day 6, Arrabida Wine Region: Wine Palace Tour, Delicious Brunch, Tile Workshop
On this luxury day of wine, will visit two prestigious and unique wineries, in a beautiful area just south of Lisbon. Much has been written about this famous Palace & Winery, but the conclusion is always the same: it’s a Masterpiece dating back to the 14th century. You will enjoy a wonderful, private guided tour where you will view unique pieces of a private art collection and pass through the gardens and vineyards to the lakeside house, where the very first dated painted tile in Portugal can be found! After the tour, experience a guided wine tasting followed by excellent brunch, made with local products. For the afternoon, visit a nearby working tile factory. Enjoy a guided tour of the premises, learning all about the art of tile making and partake in a workshop where you will create your own tile. At the end of your final day on this unforgettable, luxury tour your chauffeur will take you to the airport, or add another nights accommodation to extend your stay.
Payment & Cancellation
Payment - A 25% deposit is required when booking this luxury tour. Final balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. For any bookings made within 60 days of the tour commencing, the full tour amount will be charged. Payment methods - We accept all credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express) and wire transfers. Cancellation - A 25% deposit is payable on confirmation of tour. This is non-refundable. Cancellations within 30 days of the tour commencing are non-refundable.
