Arraiolos Village – Set in beautiful countryside our first stop is in the historical, quaint and unique village of Arraiolos. Known for its Portuguese craftsmanship, here you will see many handmade tapestry rugs and ceramics. Learn about the art of rug making and maybe even see the craftswoman working by hand!

prestigious Local Winery – A visit to this winery is a journey through time and history. One of the cornerstones is where the wines created by inspired oenologists rest. Equally important is the private collection of harnesses and carriages from different periods and styles, which is a way of honouring the art of breeding Lusitano horses. Here you will enjoy a specialized guided tour of the private horse carriage museum, the vineyards, the winery and enjoy a cellar wine tasting of 5 wines.

Organic Olive Grove – Next we visit an organic olive grove and estate, just outside of Evora. Here you will enjoy an olive oil tasting experience, produced from an organic olive grove, originally planted by the owners grandfather. The olive used if of the Galega variety, native from Portugal, from olive trees aged between 70 and 2000 years old! This is a unique and genuine experience, showing the local culture and way of life and perfect those who appreciate olive oil, tranquility and nature. You can also choose to have a homemade Portuguese lunch here with the hosts (subject to availability).

Cork Factory– To end the day we visit a large, working cork factory. Here you will enjoy a specialised guided tour where you will learn all about cork! Including how the cork is harvested from the tree trunk and expertly crafted into many items. There is also a fabulous shop with a large variety of cork items should you wish to take home a momento.
