Overview
The scenic destination of Douro Valley lies to the east of Porto and expands across all of Portugal. You will stop at a number of viewpoints on your way to take in the landscape, as you head to the most prestigious and luxurious winery in Douro. Surrender yourself in the history and wine tradition of the demarcated Douro wine region with a private guided tour of the winery, barrel room and vineyards and an exclusive wine tasting, all with a Wine Educator. This will be followed by a unique and impressive winery lunch: a gourmet menu of 3 `moments´ from Chef André Carvalho’s team, with wine pairing. Chef André Carvalho’s team has rewritten the culinary landscape of the Douro Valley influenced by the Douro’s heritage, in harmony with the winemaker, Jorge Alves. This stunning winery is the ideal place to relax and enjoy life, enjoy the great wines produced on the estate and calmly enjoy the fantastic environment. As you return towards Porto, pause at the charming villages of Pinhão and Amarante.

To begin your wonderful day of wine, your chauffeur will be waiting for you at your hotel. Today you will enjoy a very special experience at a beautiful winery in Douro, with spectacular views of the Douro River. Discover the history and wine tradition of the demarcated Douro wine region, in an exclusive and private tour guided by a Wine Educator. Discover the winemaking process and become enchanted by our museum, which recounts the 250 years of history of the Douro region and this estate. Enjoy the privileged tasting of 5 Douro and Dão wines, overlooking the Douro and its breathtaking views. This private tour includes a visit to the Museum Centre, the vineyard, winery, historic wine cellar, barrel rooms and a tasting of 5 premium wines.
Winery Restaurant
The winery tour and tasting will be followed by a gourmet lunch at the Winery Restaurant. When we talk about creating wine and food we are also talking about creating unique memories. Chef André Carvalho's team rewrites the culinary landscape of the Douro Valley influenced by its Douro heritage, in harmony with the winemaker Jorge Alves. The winery restaurant is the ideal place to relax and enjoy life, sample some great wines and tasty and textural food, produced in the same terroir, with the same passion. You will enjoy a gourmet menu of 3 `moments´ with wine pairing from the winemaker's selection. Sit back and relax and enjoy this marvellous setting and fine dining.
Douro Villages
Pinhão is a beautiful village located right on the Douro River. The terraced hillsides which circle the village produce some of the regions finest Port. You will stop at the delightful train station and admire the `azulejos´ (hand-painted Portuguese tiles) depicting the grape harvest. Amarante was founded in the 4th century and lies in the region which produces the grapes of the vinho verde - a young semi-sparkling ‘green’ wine unique to Portugal. The River Tâmaga runs through the town with its unique, arched bridge, the ´Ponte São Gonçalo.´ At the end of this wonderful day full of memories, your chauffeur will return you to your hotel in Porto.

Payment - A 50% deposit is required when booking this luxury tour. Final balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. For any bookings made within 30 days of the tour commencing, the full tour amount will be charged upon booking. Payment methods - We accept all credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express) and wire transfers. Cancellation - A 50% deposit is payable upfront. This is non-refundable. Remaining balance is due 30 days prior to trip commencing. Cancellations within 30 days of the tour commencing are non-refundable.
